When you listen to a new song, do you look up the lyrics or do you just go with the flow?

I just go with the flow because I listen to it so many times I eventually learn the lyrics without needing to look them up.

As English is (one of) your native language (s), it might be a bit easier to understand all the words at first. There are a couple of songs where looking up the lyrics proved me wrong as to what I always understood. It's not very common, but it can happen.

I think it was Seal who explained why he didn't put lyrics on the inside pages of his albums: he prefers to let his audience interpret the meaning of his songs freely, rather than providing a definitive interpretation. He also finds it disappointing when the lyrics in a booklet don't align with the meaning he hears in the music.

I only look up the lyrics if I can't hear. what they are singing. Sometimes it's very hard to hear all of the words, if it's a song that I happen to like them I look up the lyrics.
