Who is your favorite author and what did he or she write?

T. A. Barrons. He wrote my three favorite series. "The lost years of Merlin." A book about Merlin the wizard's childhood, the "Merlin's dragon" trilogy and the "Great Tree of Avalon" trilogy. They all share the same universe and a lot of characters and most of them make reappearances in most of the books. They weren't written in that order but that's the order they take place in chronologically.

I like sci-fi and fantasy books with more complex story... I read (almost) everything written by Anne MacCaffrey, Anne Bishop, Maję Lidię Kossakowską, Jarosława Grzędowicza, Andrzeja Sapkowskiego and many others

there are books or series I like a lot but it would also be hard point to only one :D

My favourite adult author was Frederick Forsyth, but sadly he passed away a few days ago. I read many of his novels, they were spy thrillers, and a few were made into films such as The Day Of The Jackal, and The Fourth Protocol. I've never had much time to read books, but I made time for Frederick Forsyth because his novels were so captivating.

I don't read much. Based on what I have read in my life, Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) would be my favorite author. His Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer tales are fun to read, as is his classic Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, possibly the earliest time travel book.

Some of his best books were: Journey to the Center of the Earth, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, From the Earth to the Moon, Michael Strogoff, Around the World in Eighty Days, and The Mysterious Island.

My favorite fiction authors are Tolkien and Asimov. Tolkien wrote the Middle-earth saga. Asimov wrote the Robot-Galactic Empire-Foundation mythology.
