I can't just pick one. There are some movies (especially the ones I watched as a kid) that I still excited over as much as I did when I watched them for the first time. I doubt I'll ever get bored of them!

How about you?
I can't just pick one. There are some movies (especially the ones I watched as a kid) that I still excited over as much as I did when I watched them for the first time. I doubt I'll ever get bored of them!

How about you?
I've watched Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (the one with the whales) many times, including 3 times in a row during a Star Trek marathon. It's never bring, with a set of memorable scenes He gave me a pill and I grew a new kidney; Scotty's "Hello Computer" speaking into the mouse, transparent aluminum, Spock swearing on the bus, Spock swimming with the pregnant whale, Kirk and Gillian having pizza and beer, Chekov's "Can I go now?", Scotty's "There be whales").
I'm sure I'll watch it several times in the future. In my mind, it's the best Star Trek movie ever, even better than The Wrath of Khan.
I'm a real Turner Classics buff, but three movies come to mind that I love watching: Red River, with a beautiful Montgomery Clift and the not-beautiful John Wayne as cowpokes.
Bullet Train, which is so full of action, laughs and a fabulous interlacing story, and has one of the best casts ever: what a great bunch of actors;
The Searchers, which Wayne deserved an Academy Award for, and I'm NOT a john wayne fan. He's mostly wooden and plays himself in most movies he's made. But again, there is the beautiful, young Jeffrey Hunter as eye candy. It is a great story of hatred and ultimate redemption, in which Wayne actually acts.
Another one is Aliens. Big action, horror and attractive wise-cracking Marines. Bill Paxton, one of my faves, is in this one. Love him in everything he's done.
So, I guess my consistent themes are action, a good story and pretty men, and I'm satisfied!!!
Ha ha! I hope you enjoy them all. Good story, action and excellent actors are all it takes to make a good movie. Of course, the director too.
I have two which are very, very old indeed, and both are in Black & White.
How Green Was My Valley: 1941.
It's A Wonderful Life: 1946.
I could have never guessed that you enjoy watching black and white movies 😯 That's actually awesome as I grew up watching many old movies (even black and white movies) thanks to my parents and grandma. So, I have a soft corner for classics. I'll definitely add these movies and will comment here to give me review 😆🫶🏻
I luv movies! I own hundreds of them. My lone requirement for buying a movie is that i must enjoy it enough to watch it repeatedly. Some are more repeatable than others. I can watch “Fight Club”, “The Big Lebowski” or “Back to the Future” and start it over again as soon as it’s finished. I watch “Saving Private Ryan” every year on Memorial day. I watch “A Christmas Story” every year for that holiday, and “Halloween” on… you probably guessed it… Halloween! Ell oh ell!
I have learned to put a fair bit of time between viewings of comedies and horror flicks. The unexpected is too important to both of those genres to watch them back to back, in my opinion.
Oh my God. You sound just like me, lol! I mean, same here! I love watching movies and have number of movies that I enjoy watching repeatedly!
I've seen Back to the Future, Fight Club and A Christmas story. Loved all of them! I'm going to watch the other movies that you mentioned because I've got a feeling I'm going to enjoy those movies 😇
I see! I used to watch horror movies a lot years ago but I stopped because of constant nightmares 😭 it's okay though. I still have some other cool movies of different genres that I could enjoy.
Oh yeah how could I forget fight club and back to the future I think my list could easily triple maybe more.
A movie I could watch endlessly without getting bored is "Spirited Away" by Studio Ghibli. The animation is breathtaking, and the story is beautifully whimsical. Each time I watch it, I notice new details in the artwork and the storyline. It's like diving into a magical world, and its charm never fades! 🌟🎥

Awesome list! I've seen most of the movies you mentioned and it seems like if I knew you in real life, we'd be good friends as I absolutely enjoy watching those movies so we have something in common 😆 Jokes aside, I am going to add the ones I haven't seen yet to the list because I believe we do have similar taste in movies.
@chazmatazz269 Thanks for reminding me about fight club and back to the future
Also remembered a few others like scarface, Blow, event horizon, some other more recent space movie where the bloke wakes up and he wakes the girl up and they save the ship forget what its called, studio 54, Go, trainspotting, Blade and the sequels, caravan of courage (oldie but a goodie that is kinda a side piece from starwars, has ewoks and stuff), starwars the original ones, Indiana jones the first three, Inception, Memphis bell, den of theives, some of the die hard movies, Juno, another space movie that I can't remember the name of think maybe seekers where there are these things in the ground that are little machines with like circular saw type things that kill people (spent some time searching its called screamers) and some vampire movies there is vampires and warewolf things and the bloke has both vampire and ware wolf powers (not twilight haha).

The science fiction movie Passengers (Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt in the main roles). The movie depicts an interstellar spacecraft carrying thousands of people to a colony 120-years-traveling-distance from Earth, when two passengers are awakened 90 years early from hibernation.
@ChiTown33 The scene where she finds out about the awakening is very intense. Did she really forgive or just accept her fate?
Yeah that's the one thanks. Not sure if your post is your answer or in response to my post as I forgot the name of that movie.
I have watched El Dorado with John Wayne and Robert Mitchum dozens of times. i have seen Captain America :The Winter Soldier lots of times. I watch this movie every time it is on the Grit channel.

I always liked the movie The Fugitive & it’s one of many movies I can watch over & over.
I always remember the first time I watched the movie. I was at my aunts house & I couldn’t sleep so I opened the movie cabinet & The Fugitive was the first VHS tape I grabbed & I popped it in the VCR & that movie had me hooked. I have it on DVD & yes I still have a DVD playing collection dust with all my movies.
Static, how do you like the successor film, U. S. Marshals?
@DryGermanGuy It was still good however it kind of lost me. Did you know fugitive was a tv show? youtube.com/shorts/qIrOVb8_ayo?si=KG0JPhWgotWbCNix
Yeah. It did not run in Germany, but the movie critics mentioned it, when the 1993 film came out. I watched it in the cinema and remember it as a great experience.
@DryGermanGuy U. S Marshals I watched on television a few times but not the entire movie. I ended up switching channels.
The movie SPEED is another movie I could watch over & over.
Speed!! That movie is one of my favourites and I've seen it many times as there isn't a dull moment in that movie. I really like Sandra Bullock and that was the first movie I saw Keanu in (saw it in early 2000) and ended up having a crush on him. 🤣
Speed 1 is a gem. I found the sequel pretty underwhelming though.
Shawshank Redemption, Major League, Goodfelllas, Wedding Crashers, Airplane, Pale Rider, Gran Torino, Caddyshack, Terms of Endearment, A Few Good Men, The Firm, Misery, Remember the Titans, Rudy, Kramer vs Kramer, Broke Back Mountain, A Home of Our Own, and it goes on and on!
I've seen The Shawshank Redemption, Wedding Crashers, Good Fellas, The Firm (even read the novel! Grisham is one of my favourite authors) and I absolutely loved these movies!! Great taste. I'm going to add the rest of the movies that you've mentioned as I feel like we kind of have similar taste in movies 😯
Can't wait to see!
One that I find entertaining every time I watch it is The Quiet Man. I like that it's in Ireland. The characters are wonderful. It totally cracks me up.
I just googled it. I love watching old movies. Always had a soft corner for it as I grew up watching those movies with my parents and grandma. After reading the synopsis I'm pretty sure that I'll enjoy watching it. Thank you for unintentionally giving me a good movie suggestion 😆
80s movies, for example Goonies :D
Especially science fiction, fantasy, and horror movies (Star Wars, old Star Trek movies, Willow, Harry Potter movies, Nightmare On Elm Street).
Also, I like some 90s movies, like Jurassic Park.
Gooniessssssss! 🫶🏻 Nostalgia 😭 Great picks, X! I watched most of the movies that you mentioned. Like Harry Potter bit more as I grew up reading the books and watched movies as well. So, the bookworm in me leans towards HP 😆
Thanks, I'm glad you like them :D
I like the books too :)
This is why we get along so fine, lol!
Exactly, lol ;)
There are way too many...
- Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator
- Back to the Future trilogy
- Star Wars original trilogy
- Catch Me If You Can
- The Rear Window
The only ones I haven't seen yet is The Rear Window and Star Wars original trilogy (Always wanted to watch the trilogy but my luck didn't let me. Something always came up, lol).
I just read the synopsis of The Rear Window! I love old movies and the fact that it's a thriller mystery got me super excited! Thank you for unintentionally telling me about yet another good movie's existence 🤣
The Rocky movies I’ve done that lately Jeremiah Johnson with Robert Redford the natural. Jaws I haven’t seen that in a long time it’s the 50th anniversary Braveheart
there are many,
so I don't watch any:)
I really liked Chitty Chitty Bang Bang long time ago.
New movies, as Old movies that i watched and they are old, are no more of interest... But if its a new movie and a Good story, then Bring it on!
I always go for good stories, even if they are not really movies (like documentaries, or doc series, something like See no Evil, etc) Good stuff, but i can say that i can watch old movies, specially if I Didn't Seen them, or missed them...🤔😅
I guess we "found our world" 🥰🤭😅😅😅
What you laughing at, Movie/Documentary Hungry Woman? Huh? 😅😂😂😂😂
Fair enough... i'll give you a "pass" for now..😈😂😂😂
To some extent id say spirit, the stallion of Cameroon... bec somehow I got connected to it in my childhood
Those james bond films i know the happy ending but great too!
I really enjoy the Oceans 11 movies. And how to train your dragon as well. I'm sure there's a few others, but I can't think of them right now.
I used to feel that way about Shane. I must have watched it over a hundred times. Then I just quit watching it many years ago. Up until about 6 months ago and I watched twice.
There are A LOT of comedies that fit that bill. Ghostbusters for one.
No surprise here.
Fastest Guitar Alive was the first and only movie Roy stared in. It's one of the reasons he left Monument Records for MGM, unfortunately his movie career didn't take off like Evis's did. Interestingly, Roy co-wrote all the songs used/sung in the movie and he didn't wear glasses so you get a peak at what Roy looked like without his glasses.
It's available on YouTube. Good movie, especially if you're a huge Orbison fan.

Ghost, Blood and bone, Road house the original one Hobbs and shaw
“A lotta women know where i live!”
Big Swayze fan and love Ghost one of my favorite movies that and Pretty Woman
It's a very serious movie. But I have watched it again and again. It always gives me the same feeling.
Perfect balance between story, sci-fi, emotions.
INTERSTELLAR ❤️
You must!!! It is one of those movies that stay with you after you are done with them.
Haha... Sure. Waiting for your review 🙂

Phir hera pheri, goal, around the world in 80 days just to name a few
I am cricket fan instead of movies, but still I can see DDLJ without getting bored.
What movies you did like?
I didn't see your list
The Dark Knight, Justice League, Suicide Squad, Mission: İmpossible, Fight Club
All my old movies bore me after I know the story really well.
LOTS AND LOTS of Movies 🎬 . But that's not one of them
Her and Lolita the 1997 version with Jeremy Irons

It's not confusion, just uncertainty 😂
Snatch, I've watched that 3 times in 4 days before
The blind side. I love that movie
The Green Mile.
Nice. I think you will like it.
Blazing Saddles.
Ace Ventura movies lol
Harry Potter
the godfather all 3 parts
Fifty shades of grey.
Blazing Saddles
Blood Diamond!! 😍
Ikr!!! That's truly a cinematic masterpiece. Have watched it n number of times and can still watch it anyday, anytime
That ending seriously moves me every single time...
Haha! Most definitely. I'm here lol
Sing 2 for the music
Once is enough for me
I love pulp fiction
Nice!
Edward Scissorhands.
“Hmm, then as a horror movie, I can suggest Midsommar. It's not a classical horror film — it's folk horror. Folk horror is my favorite horror sub-genre.
When it comes to mystery thrillers, I want to suggest Gone Girl. If you like mystery-thrillers, you’ll love it.
I also suggest the Mad Max series as a fantasy-adventure. This series has six movies. It started as a low-budget B-movie in the 1970s and ended as one of the greatest hits in cinema history in 2024
I've read the book Gone Girl and even watched the movie. I enjoyed it 😁 but I knew what happened to the girl way before 😝
I'll definitely watch Mad Max series very soon and write my review here everytime I finish one part of the series, for sure! ☺️ Thank you so much for the recommendation, buddy 🫶🏻
Ghostbusters
The Quiet Man
It's a classic
It's just a funny, relaxing and enjoyable movie to watch. They don't make them like this anymore.
