It would be sad if Susan didn't win the jackpot, as she is the designated more rounded character, the more pleasant to incarnate. The others are characters with massive shortcomings that no one wants to be perceived as, in life. No one wants to be seen as a controlling freak, no one wants to be an arrogant blunt tool, no one wants to be the egotistic, and no one wants to be into neurotic break down.

Funny thing is, while many seem to want to be well-rounded, it's a sort of privilege to incarnate such character lol

she’s a popular one. she’s meant to be the “cute” girl next door character but i guess in the early 2000s, cute equated to needy / clumsy/ damsel in perpetual distress

I never saw the show, but I can’t imagine myself as a desperate housewife. If I were that unhappy, I’d quit being a housewife and go to work.

i don’t think unhappiness was the theme for this show. it was more to do with protecting their households, each in her own way
