Trending & News When I was in primary school, this song was very popular:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/djV11Xbc914I love that song!
Me too
Love Arthur, but the most random is the Magic School Bus theme or Bill Nye The Science Guy
I forgot about those two. Those will randomly pop in my head too.
pwahahaha
Loooove Bill Nye
omg in one episode of Arthur, Brain was actually the main character instead of arthur so the theme song changed to something like “everything when you’re walking down the street.. you stop and you think. hmm. hmm” lol and that one pops into my head more often than the real theme song!
I never seen that one or heard that theme song.
Lol thanks!
This is the Magic Bus song that you need (which, of course, motivated the TV show).

The "Arthur" theme song brings back so many memories! It's amazing how certain tunes can just pop into your head out of nowhere. For me, it's often the "Pokémon Theme" song. Listening to those instantly transports me back to the days of trading cards and watching the show after school. Such nostalgic vibes! 🎶✨

There was TV show called Sheriff John's Lunch Brigade that I watched from as early as I can remember.
He showed cartoons. But there also a couple of songs that he sang every day.
One was a birthday song.
The other was called Laugh and be Happy.
I still remember both of those songs and they occasionally pop into my head.
Laugh and be happy and the world will laugh with you
When people see you smiling they can't help smiling too
When you look out the window to a dark and gloomy day
Break out a smile and in a while the gloom will go away
So laugh and be happy with a merry melody
A song will make a hat rack look like a Christmas tree
Get rid of worry in a hurry, chase the blues away
Just laugh and be happy all the live... long... day..
Lots of songs I remember from the early days were from TV shows unless we're talking top 40 hits on the radio.
Felix the Cat, the wonderful, wonderful cat.
Whenever he gets in a fix,
He reaches into his bag of tricks.
Felix the Cat, the wonderful, wonderful cat.
You'll laugh so much your sides will ache.
Your heart will go pit-a-pat
Watching Felix the wonderful cat.
I remember TV commercials, too. Here's one that I'll never forget
Oh, lots... For instance...
"In the Summertime" by Mungo Jerry (1970)...
https://www.youtube.com/embed/wvUQcnfwUUMand "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin (1971) which I change the lyrics and sing to my dogs...
Hey, hey puppy
Seen the way you poo
Squattin' there
For Number Two...
Then, of course, "Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey" (1971)...
https://www.youtube.com/embed/UvUkPtSheygand "Joy to the World" (1971)
https://www.youtube.com/embed/EVcpKjXYa5cand this one when I am feeling a bit melancholy over my ex-girlfriend who I wanted to marry. Also from 1971.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ux7HgO9QhAcFor some reason this song reminds me of that time in my life. I would hear it often on weekends, my mom and dad would play CDs while we cleaned and did other things around the house.
I love the guys smooth voice.
I'm still exposed to a lot of the music from back then due to work. So when they pop into my head it usually isn't that randomly.
One song that will at times pop into my head out of nowhere is:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/Q1UID0vEeqIUsed to sing this in music lessons during grade school.
This one ^^^^^ usually pops in after I have a slice of this one pop into my head. >>>>>
“When you go to K MART, and you fill your shopping cart, diarrhea thppp thppp, diarrhea thppp thppp…when your sitting in a Chevy, and your pants feel kinda heavy, diarrhea, thppp thppp, diarrhea, thppp thppp.”
“🎶This is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends…. Some people… started singing it not knowing what it was, and they’ll continue singing it forever just because… this is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends…. I remember singing this in first grade. I used to sing it to my own kids
https://www.youtube.com/embed/Qpa_4Jjgi-o@Simslover92 The guy that invented Arthur the aardvark was Maec Brown and he lived in the next town. He used to dress up as a giant aardvark and go to the libraries and read to the kids. Then he got the TV deal and it was See ya later.
Is that what Arthur is? I never knew that. I don't know why I always thought he was a mouse. Probably because of the ears.
Just looked it up. It would have scared the crap out of me too.
@Simslover92 This was my daughters favorite book. I read it to her so many times Ihad it memorized.
Aww that looks like an adorable book.
which one is the one you call grade school... is it elementary? middle-school?
Elementary
oh... the second half of the 90's had a TON of music, and I probably listened to the whole of it too
but there's two in particular I remember... one from J. Lo and another from Shakira... and I really liked these songs back then, I liked their voices and I also remember not liking everything else they did later because all they would really do was shake their ass, lmao

Nope but Digimon was my go to show when I was a kid. Every Saturday morning.

Oh they were so cool to me way better than Pokémon. I don't think I've ever even seen one Pokémon episode.
Oh man I Arthur was a classic lol
I think random songs I had to sing in church growing up will still pop into my head every once in a while
It really was a classic! Lol
Raindrops keep falling On my head from bj thomas song appeared in spider man 2 , I was 14 was going through really bad anxiety and it helped get me through it
That song pops in my head from time to time too
Brings tears to my eyes when I see the scenes from it :(
I was 5 when 'Staying Alive' and the movie 'Saturday Night Fever' became a big hit.
They were played everywhere.
They sparked my love for dancing.
When I was in fourth grade, the teacher played 'Love Train', by the 'O'Jays' and I still remember that song today.
The Beautiful People—Marilyn Manson. To this day that song seems to follow me around.
Lots of songs from childhood come to mind from time to time. I was walking along the Ohio canal and remembered the old "Erie Canal" song.
Bob Dylan lay lady lay. And Nancy senatra these boots. Are made for walking
A whole multitude of radio hits from between 1963 to 1968. One from 1968 would be:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/qDfrW5cWqMUCyndi Lauper Girls just wanna have fun.
Little Children, in 8th grade.
