Are you watching “Dexter: Resurrection”?

I luv the character, Dexter. I’ve watched every other related series, despite some glaring disappointments.
I wasn’t thrilled with the development of Dex’s Deb psyche in “New Blood”. It took several episodes of “Original Sin” for me to be invested enough in the story to overlook some of the deplorable casting mistakes.
Nevertheless, i got through them all and i’m generally satisfied with how Dexter himself has been portrayed and developed.
I’ve just begun the latest series, “Resurrection” and i knew going into it that they would have to concoct some pseudoscience nonsense to justify bringing Dex back after ending “New Blood” with a rifle shot to the heart. I’m still not over it, but they’re winning me over in other ways that i won’t share here. I’m not the spoiler type! Have i done you a favor?

Seen the original and the... one where he was hiding away and fishing.

I have not seen the whole younger Dexter one. Is it worth watching? I did very much enjoy the original. I do feel they are lazy with it though ans basically just reusing the setting ans vibe rather than expanding on the formula.

It took me awhile to get into “Original Sin”, because i think they made poor choices with some of the casting. There were a couple of other things that they played out that didn’t maintain continuity with the original series, Dexter in particular. But it was overall enjoyable.

I have never even seen the first series let alone that one. I want to watch it though. I've heard great things about it.

Yes. It's a nice fairy tale about people with antisocial tendencies.
