The FF was the biggest title that Marvel comics had. I do not know why they cannot make a decent movie out of the large body of material that is out there.

I'm pretty sure it's Spiderman followed by X-Men that were the biggest hits from Marvel before the MCU made the Avengers into A tier heroes; Fantastic 4 is also up there, but not as much as the first two

Xmen was not a big title until Wolverine joined the team. The FF was their biggest title during the so called Silver Age.

I didn't watch it, but based on the trailers it looks really like something Jetsonian "futuristic from 1950s". Even the suits look really old-school.
