Has anyone ever modeled nude for a figure drawing class?

If so, was it a good experience? What should one expect? I thought about doing it back in college and a few times since. I’m still thinking about it. Thank you in advance.

I did it a few times in college. It was actually kind of fun. First time if course was where I was most nervous. Came in, I was given a robe. The professor would show me where I would be posing and how. I did appreciate that there was a no photo rule. They made sure to ask if the room temperature was comfortable for me. I was offered coffee and water (100% too the coffee, said no to the water... didn't need a full bladder). They had me do 3 poses over the span of an hour and a half with a few minutes of rest inbetween. I ended up doing it 6-7 times. They were all positive experiences (and went towards my college credits which was my goal). A few of the artists would ask me to sign their work.

Yes I've done it a couple times for a community college art class and I knew the person giving the class. I got a small amount of money that basically convered gas, and there were snacks.

Basically it was just a case of sitting in position for the class itself, like you might expect. Everyone was pretty quiet during, very professional, the teacher walking around and quietly talking to them.

Once it was finished there was more chatter and everyone would look at each other's work, have snacks etc.

That was pretty much my experience. Annoying part was they kept offering me water... last thing I needed was to have a full bladder while pposing for 10-15 people 😵‍💫

I did a few times when I was in college. There was a state university just blocks away from the private college I attended and they both often solicited models from the opposite campus. I got paid a decent stipend, and some free food as well. Somewhere at home I have a copy of one of the students sketches of me. I was long distance with my girlfriend (now wife) at the time so I framed it for her and she had it hanging in her bathroom.

Not often but I was previously aquatinted with one who scanned and emailed one before turning it in for a grade.
