What is your favorite cult classic show or series?

It’s difficult to garner the label “cult classic”. You have to be kind of popular, but not TOO popular! Ell oh ell! Generally, you can’t be too popular until after your time had passed. The show has to become more popular in syndication, or hindsight altogether. Even then, some hardcore cult fans might abandon a show if it gets too popular. Sometimes throwing around words like “sellout”. The irony is they abandon their once favorite niche program to a new, still limited audience. Then the show maintains its cult status! There are so many cult classic series that it’s difficult to pick just one. My favorite is “Firefly”.
Somehow “The X Files” is considered by some to be a cult classic. Mostly for its fanbase’s obsessive following, because it was actually quite popular. I’m not going to argue whether or not it’s a true cult classic. Let’s observe the honor system on this one. What is your favorite cult classic show or series?

It was only on for 2 years but I really enjoyed a show called Reaper. Not sure it became a cult favorite but it definitely fits an offbeat show that connected with me and I rarely watch tv as it is. MST3K was pretty good too for the ones I did watch.

I have not watched “Reaper”, and it’s not currently available to stream for free. Reading up on it, i think it might be similar to “Dead Like Me”. The latter has some humor, but it’s pretty dark.

My girlfriend is way into conspiracy theories so we still watch episodes of X-Files on DvD. Trust no one! The truth is out there! Ok, maybe I've been watching too many. 🤣
