I had a plumber out yesterday to change some taps. He arrived, told be it would be hard to install these particular taps even though they were the same I had before, created a leak, apparently fixed the leak, then told be my brand new taps were faulty. (Credit that he decided not to charge me for not delivering a service, nor compensate me for the side effect of mild damage to the house.) I don't know much about plumbing but I know it when I see it and plumbing was not happening.
It got me wondering, how many of us are basically quite bad at our jobs? How many of your colleagues are?

We have a guy that I usually call for just hydro-jetting our sewer lines.
He had an "assistant" who was so clumsy and so inattentive that he caused a lotta mess for what was supposed to be so simple.
He was fired on the spot.
I would be bad at plumbing and electricity... I don't like it, I would not want to be good at them either...
Is he okay?
Not every employee has the same level of experience. If you're dissatisfied with the level of service you've received, contact the company and ask if there's someone more confidence inspiring they could send out. Management knows who the weak links are.
There are no issues with employees where I work at the moment, but we have had some dodgy ones in the past. Some people just don't have a professional mindset. A job shouldn't just be a way to pay the bills.
My endodontic treatments amount where patients appeared with pain at next day is 0. I'm good in this task and currently I don't do anything else what is a little bit annoying.
Hire another plumber he doesn’t know what he’s doing
I had some decent plumbers last year. This guy letter dropped and I thought I'd give him a go. I'll go back to the old crew.
Good 👍
i'm pretty good at what i do but i don't know what that is. i don't have any co-workers. not yet
Plumbing is easy, you just have to know all the little tricks. Pretty much anything is easy when it comes to working on a house but some of it is very labor intensive
Th British work ethic doesn't require you to be good at your job, it just requires you to have one.
If you do what I do, you're not allowed to be bad at it. Turns out you are bad at it. In the beginning, you don't get to do it for very long. I've been doing it for quite a while.
I seem to have shown sufficient competency in my occupation.
