Is it just me who thinks it's really tough to get a decent job these days?

I get lot of rejections but my experience is decent.

As for a job anyone can find a job & if you are young you shouldn’t be looking for a job you should be looking for a career. On the other side of things I’ll be open & honest with you your generation sucks & a lot of companies depending on the field aren’t hiring people in your age group. Today’s generation is also know as the entitlement generation. Your generation doesn’t want to work, doesn’t know how to work, doesn’t show up half the time & if you do show up you show up late & instead of working you think it’s ok to be on your phones all day long & quit without notice.

As for you you’re getting rejections & unfortunately it does happen but if you are getting a lot of them you are going to have to change a few things.

As for me I’m going to be Human Resources for a minute & ask you a question.

1. Why should I hire you?

After you answer that I’m going to be myself & ask you another question.

2. How are you applying to these jobs?

3. After you apply to the job do you wait to hear from them or do you reach out & contact them instead?

4. Are you physically going down to the companies or are you doing everything online?

5. How & when are you getting rejected & after getting rejected are you doing anything to get those companies to reconsider?

6. During an interview if the interview is is person where is your cellphone?

getting a good job is a job in itself.
If you have a job, it is easier to get a better job.
It shows you are employable, you need to have a good work record, like showing up for work every day, and having money coming in helps take some of the stress out of finding a different/better job.
You also need job skills, a willing to learn.
Many jobs offer the opportunity to work your way up the pay scale as you learn.
They will pay you to learn and advance.
Many good paying jobs are where you have to work hard, get your hands dirty.
It really depends on what type of job you are looking for.
6 figures a year for making overpriced coffee, not going to happen.
A food supply company was bought out by another company, and they were hiring truck drivers to run their routes. 5 days a week, home every night 135,000/year. Hard work but great pay.
Same company had warehouse positions 35/hr.
Not bad at all.

I'm sure you're not the only one. I think lots of people struggling finding a job and think they have to always settle for one they hate because money reasons. One of my sisters right now is even having trouble finding one and she's in the medical field.

It seems like a lot of people, maybe even most people are in the same position. There's work available, but the pay is bad and the work is undesirable.

I just read a news story about the CEO of Nissan taking a 50% pay cut and then laying off 9,000 people. My sister got laid off from her structural engineering job on Friday because the company got hacked and they can't get enough business to overcome the impact of paying the ransom.

Hopefully she'll be able land another job quickly, but I have no idea what the hiring landscape is like for engineers.

Yes, the job market sucks , I went through hell this past year looking for a decent job after I got laid off , I finally landed a good job just recently but it took forever , just keep applying and something will eventually bite hopefully sooner than later for you , but yes the job market is a nightmare. Praying for you 😋

Yeah it’s hard to find a good job and one you like too. It does depend where you live too but there are some jobs people also refuse to do.
