I have sung karaoke for years. Yes, in Tennessee, I can emulate the accent. If you have the lungs, do this. Rock guitar heroes are a dying breed. R&B is eternal. And it coordinates with your melanin. People scratch their heads when I do it.

Emulate the accent, my cover boy handsome at age 72,160+ IQ black Canadian/American lad a**. I don't care about being in some interchangeable R&B group when my good looks (I wasn't much of a guitarist or singer, but those things can be massaged in 2025) should have marked me as a rock heartthrob. Also, I speak with a braying Canadian accent, not a stereotypical "blaccent." (Upon hearing me, someone mused that I talk while holding my nose.) This is the major reason I never had a music career;people not understanding that not all blacks sound "churchy," and some of us are extremely handsome lads who were meant to be rock stars.

I'm very talented as a singer and guitarist. (Well I think I am, especially singing to the radio, and strumming my guitar to myself).
