Why do I cry every time I watch a movie that involves a romance of sorts?

It seems to me that I cry at the "drop of hat" when watching a movie that is a love story or romance story. I know that it is silly, but I just cannot help it. The guy I am seeing on the other hand, he just suffers through it. I am the one crying, so you think that I am the one suffering. LOL! It seems stupid after I do it, but I just cannot help it.

You’re probably crying cuz they intentionally make the movies sob worthy. It’s more than normal to cry at romance movies, it’s not stupid or silly… My dad would tell me the same thing and he would be worried af whenever he cries watching certain movies cuz he think it’s a weakness and that “something must be wrong” with him mentally… it never fails to intrigue me how often people villainize normal emotional reactions to art

Part of it is crying and letting your emotions free. Part of it is finding a good male shoulder to cry on. Romantic movies and cuddling up with your partner somehow go well together.
