Do you like pedal steel guitar?

I do like the sound of that pedal steel guitar. I did not even know it was called that.

However, I do prefer the natural sound of music instruments rather than the electronically enhanced sounds. They tend to be much too loud to my ears as I prefer much softer tones like the ones of a regular guitar, a violin, a banjo or a piano, to name just a few.

I have very sensitive ears and electronically boosted sounds that reach levels above 80dB are off limits for me. That is also why I would never attend a concert where amplifiers are used. The music is just way too loud.

I understand my ears are extremely sensitive too. I usually use some custom-made ear plugs to knock down but not eliminate loud noises in concerts and also while playing music myself.

Well, I've not heard them before, but I'm going to make it a point to do that now since you recommended them. Thank you. I've yet to hear a pedal steel guitar that I didn't really love. It's very compelling.
