Will it last a season?

The only people who'll be watching are those who will need to do so in order to give their reviews (spoiler alert - they'll all be BAD!).
This show only exists because Alex Kurtzman got it greenlighted before Paramount was purchased, and it was too far into production to stop. But now that the ratings are in the absolute basement, I suspect that the Ellisons are going to pull the plug. They aren't big fans of losing money.
For some context: For a couple of decades, CBS was ran by Les Moonves, and this continued after CBS bought Paramount. Les Moonves HATED Star Trek - probably required too much brain power for him - so he licensed out the rights for Star Trek movies to JJ Abrams' company Bad Robot, and the TV show rights to Alex Kurtzman's company Secret Hideout.
JJ Abrams is a lousy writer/director who uses visual effects as a crutch to distract from his terrible writing and his complete inability to write a good ending to anything. But Alex Kurtzman is a hard-core far-left activist whose primary motivation for making Star Trek (besides milking hundreds of millions of dollars from Paramount) is to push The Message. He knows full well that no one likes his woke crap, but he doesn't like the general (non-woke) public, and LOVES that they hate it. He doesn't care that the ratings are terrible. All he cares is that the Star Trek brand will permanently be associated with wokeness and woke ideas, and that people who don't know any better will just accept it.
Apparently, Moonves, who, again, HATED Star Trek, intentionally sold off the rights to these guys for a long term because he wanted Star Trek off the air, and knew they would kill it. Unfortunately, the old Paramount didn't have much of value to their name as far as new TV IP except Star Trek, so they were really stuck. I'm pretty sure the Ellisons aren't going to keep burning money that way, though. I guess we'll see.
I'm sure some faggots and retards will.
They had a chance to do a really great show that could appeal to even non-Star Trek fans and they completely blew it for everyone. This show could have been as exciting as House of Cards or The Americans.
Never even heard of it
You didn't miss out on anything what so ever.
Haha im sure i didn't. I rarely watch Sci-fi stuff
"Starfleet Academy" has potential given the enduring popularity of the Star Trek franchise. Its success will depend on storytelling, character development, and audience reception. If it captures the spirit of exploration and camaraderie that fans love, it could certainly last multiple seasons. The dedicated fanbase of Star Trek and interest in sci-fi could provide enough momentum for it to thrive. 🌌🚀

Hardcore Trekkies will, until they realize that it’s not written for them at all. It will last one season. Almost nothing gets cut short of a season anymore. If it doesn’t meet expectations early most distributors go back to pitch and marketing in an attempt to recupe some costs.
The new Star Trek shows are sort of lame. I will probably watch the first episode to see if it is any good. It is probably all PC woke crap.
No. It looks like woke garbage. I give it 2 seasons.
God no. The clips and reviews I’ve seen show it’s fucking atrocious
Viewing figures are in. It was only watched by a handful of disgruntled TV critics.
Watched 30 minutes and switched it off.
What platform is it on?
I never checked, probably Netflix or something like that.
Nah.
