I know we all have mixed views on this new series and we will see if it will last. I just saw episode 4 and I did like it.

Me which is why the new ones should be consistent with original, but were not , so the new stuff is just a misused name but not real trek... A story in space is not star trek! Using the name starfleet is not enough... At least series prodigy had janeway and her ideas. But i would not waste time watching this series... Its main points are, in its summary, recycling ideas from prodigy and the main points of episode 2, last week are awful... Stupid childish woke naive etc. But series voyager or next generation are quality. This series already plans it will "fix" the bad star trek past, according to modern society expectations. yuk. How 'horrible' that series 'next generation' never showed a toilet' that is the stuff they wanna "fix"!

I have seen the original series so many times I can say the lines before the actors do, Some of the new Star trek series are filled with woke crap that just ruins it for me. The Picard series was actually pretty good but Strange New Worlds was lame and Discovery was contrived. I will watch an episode but it looks like it is aimed at teeny boppers.

I watched the first episode of Star Fleet Academy today. It was better than I expected. Paul Giamatti as the bad guy was pretty funny.

I have been binging voyager recently. Its not as good as stargate, I find the way they act on trek quite dated even though in my childhood voyager aired at the same time. I still find it an enjoyable show though, I heard other startreks are better so once I finished voyager ill begin watching another one. But ideally one where the acting feels less like a theatre play.

I was into the first Star Trek series. I grew up watching the Next Generation. I watched some of Deep Space 9. Tried Voyager. I also the 3 Star Trek movies they made with Chris Pine. I feel that they should stop making Star Trek shows. At this point they just cycle the same ideas over and over again.

I kinda, sorta liked the original series except that it WAS a tad cheesy with Kirk's overacting but, he DID have the best pick-up line!! "Fuck me and I'll save your planet!".
At least they got better once they started making full movies but, after the main cast was done, I had no interest in it anymore.

It will last one season because “Star Trek” fans will figure out fairly quickly that it’s not for them, but the producers will push to salvage their woke garbage and try to get as close to breaking even as possible.
Methinks they will never learn sometimes.

I'm watching Starfleet Academy. It's an interesting future look at the Star Trek Universe, different from most other Star Trek series and movies. It has interesting characters, different species, who must learn to work with each other.

I love TNG series and DS9. I plan to see TOS. Modern Star Trek went far away from depicting positive future and values that Gene Roddenberry wanted to promote. Starfleet Academy is awful. It's stupid, childish and unbearably woke.

Star Trek series are among my favorite tv series ever (TNG, DS-9, Voyager, ENT, TOS, and animated series). I like older Star Trek movies too.
