When you love a song, how many times do you play it on repeat?

I would say I repeat it about 10 times in a row.

I used to do that a lot when I was a kid. I'd have several records I liked a lot and would keep playing them over and over. Maybe 5 to 10 times.
Since the early `80's, there hasn't been very many songs that I like well enough to wanna play over and over again. The only one I can think of is:

I did that a lot when I was a kid all the way up through my teens. I became obsessed with certain songs.

Aside from that, I played songs over and over when I was learning them for my band. I am a guitarist and lead vocalist and not only had to learn my parts, but also hear the drums, bass and other parts.

I’ll loop one song for hours while I’m painting or editing photos, easily 30–40 times in a day. On walks or flights, I do the same, it becomes like a movie soundtrack in my head. Then I burn out on it and don’t touch it for weeks 😅🎧

Usually just once, but I might listen to it a couple of times in a day. One exception is: this weekend I looked up different "covers" of a song that I like played by different bands. I think I listened to 4 different versions in a row. LOL!

I don’t think i’ve ever repeated any song more than three times in a row. I just go back to it or select playlists that will increase the chances that i will hear it.
