Mine is The Lord of the Rings extended editions, especially Fellowship 😌 I put it on while painting and just vibe with the Shire. Also Studio Ghibli movies, mainly Spirited Away and Kiki’s Delivery Service, feel like a warm blanket. For series, Friends and early seasons of Gilmore Girls are my “background noise while drawing” safe place 🥰

I'm generally not a fan of movie series / franchises.

• Case in point, Star Wars. The first three films were groundbreaking for their time and great good guys/bad guys in space for a young audience. But the studio just couldn't resist the cash grab. It degenerated fast into trash filmmaking.
• Same with the Marvel franchise. A couple of good initial efforts bringing comic books to the big screen. Then it became a factory churning out stale product for each summer / Christmas release season.
• The whole Tolkien Middle Earth world. Three really good initial films that stand alone. But once again the studios see a cash cow and just have to milk it to death. I lost interest fast.
• Jurassic Park jumped the Megalodon shark long ago. And they just can't leave the dinosaurs alone.
• Avatar is headed in the same direction. Groundbreaking CGI and a so so ecological warfare storyline is getting worn out fast after the third iteration of the same old story and CGI is now yawn inducing. And they have 2 more iterations in the works.

Sometimes it's OK to leave a story line open ended.
