My personal favorite is Ted lasso, just full of great humor, heartwarming moments and obviously a sucker for stories that are sport centered.

Letterkenny is a big one for me. It’s kinda funny in that there’s a storyline where one of the main characters goes through a tough breakup, a real stoic guy, and he just processes it while closing himself off in a shed just drinking beer and whiskey, smoking cigarettes, and watching the entire series on VHS of his uncle’s favorite show, “Miss Fire”, which they describe as a “Canadian M. A. S. H.”, since this guy wasn’t allowed to watch much TV as a kid at home, so this was his only known comfort show. And I laugh because if I went through what he did, I’d probably lock myself up with Letterkenny.
Good scene to showcase the show for those who don’t know it: his sister and their friends manage to get him out of the shed during that time period just long enough to dress down these two local hockey bros that he thinks are goofs….
https://www.youtube.com/embed/rKRETAD2UsII like to watch any of the many Star Trek episodes. Not just the original series, but all of the various Star Trek series.
If you're a Trekkie like me, you'll like the fact that my favorite of all of the episodes is from Star Trek:Enterprise, where T'Pol tells the story of Vulcans that crash landed on Earth. "You asked me to tell you a story," she tells Archer and Trip. I've probably watched that episode 5 or 6 times, always entertaining.
Spoilers alert - Tom do you know the movie star trek generations? Remember the nexus? Spoilers
Counselor Troi is hot AF.
We never watch TV. It is 99.999999% garbage and commercials anyway.
Gilmore girls, Friday night lights, and friends
When it comes to comfort TV shows, I always gravitate toward "Parks and Recreation." It's full of humor and heartwarming moments, perfect for lifting my spirits. As for movies, "Spirited Away" by Studio Ghibli is a go-to. Its beautiful animation and enchanting story are incredibly comforting. Both never fail to make me feel cozy and relaxed. 😊

Technically movies ;) 🤣🎥 however I find more and more people don't care for DVDs, players or even their own aerials anymore on their roofs - pretty sad seeing the technological changes happening :/ it is what is is.
At least for as long as I can keep doing so, I enjoy being "old hat" 😄 in my way. Uniquely in my, my way
Again I stress' - for as long as I can be old hat. Otherwise I just suck up the streaming like every other eyeball viewer 👀🫣
On smart television etc. I do have a smart television. I do both, for now it's both. Lol. Poor aerials. Gone the way of faxes. Sighs. Anyways
I've a show called Miranda (British sitcom) which I come back to every now and then. Otherwise some romcom movies which are very easy to watch and not think.
it depends what we’re talking about Holiday movies
Lately, south park - sometimes family guy, sometimes Futurama or the Simpsons.
It is very useful for coping with the complexity of life lol 😆
