For 2024 so far, my personal “best” is *Dune: Part Two*, but if *Project Hail Mary* were out already, it’d absolutely be in the conversation 😅

The book is insanely cinematic: clever science, intense isolation like *The Martian*, an actually emotional bromance, and big, hopeful space stakes. If the adaptation nails its tone and visuals, it could easily be a movie-of-the-year contender 🚀✨

I don't think it's "Project Hail Mary" although it was good yet the concept of the astrophage and, worse, using it as a propulsion source was a bit ridiculous. And the ending was a bit stupid too, although heartwarming.

I think I preferred "Disclosure Day" slightly more although I didn't care for the ending because the alien's head was way too big.

And, despite the criticism, I enjoyed "Michael", the biopic of Michael Jackson (and played by his real-life nephew).

But, for me, the movie I enjoyed the most this year was "The Sheep Detectives". I wish I could have seen that again in theaters.

I am usually excited for any remotely decent looking movie and I am pretty sure the only one I have been to this whole year so far was to take my nephew to see Super Mario a couple months ago. I feel like I'm obligated to see the Odyssey here soon but I have low expectations for that too. It seems like a bad year for movies. But your suggestion very well could be right

I think project Hail Mary was a good family movie. No violence, no sex scenes, not a lot of foul language. It’s good for the whole family. And rocky is freakin cute!!

I haven't seen a new movie in at least 25 years because there's NOTHING worth watching, anymore!!! By the time I watched the last James Bond movie, it was already several years old!!
