It seems to me the "Walk" is about other songs about doing fun things and pretty people "Sweet Talkin' Woman" and maybe Bobby Darin, talking about "I went and put my dancin' shoes on", and "Mack the Knife"

Maybe Dire Straits... were not so dire after all? The did sing about happy times, fun time and Life.

That being said, I have no musical talent but music has played a large role in my life and secretly I sorta believe my Playlist always plays music at the right times for how I am feeling/thinking which is strange since I have a wife variety of music from classical, pop, rock, country, anime music, video game music, rap, funk. I mean there is a lot which I think is the main point of the song, music as an escape from the hardships of life and the pursuit of things you love that brighten the world.
