Not really. In fact, when I first saw the poster, 29 years ago, I was confused. I knew the story of the Titanic and wondered what a man and woman in embrace had to do with it. After watching the movie, I then realized it was a romance film, loosely based on the historic event, which made the poster make sense. But it still doesn't move me.

Oh I mean the timeless embrace 👀😋 they're the heart and soul of the whole iron made ship of a movie ⚓🚢 3 hours. I wouldn't even sit through that for Avatar 2 and 3. but for Titanic - I make exceptions 🤞🏻🥲

I totally get what you mean, it really does feel like a timeless embrace 🥹🌊
That poster with Jack and Rose almost melting into each other over the ship feels iconic in a very old-Hollywood way. The soft lighting, their closed eyes, the composition… it’s pure romantic tragedy foreshadowing.

I’d love a 30th anniversary re-release too, with maybe a refreshed poster while honoring that original image 💙✨
