Looking back, do you find the ending of titanic to be horrible?

The character rose ended up having a family with unknown male, making tons of children and building a life with him. This man gave his, time, attention and resources to this woman so she could live a comfortable life and die peacefully on a yatch. However, when Rose dies her version of heaven is to be reuinited with Jack on the titanic.

As justpearl said, when it comes to girls there is always an ex in her past that she will leave you for if he ever wants her back or says he's changed for the better.

I mean it's sweet and all and they definitely did it well for a dramatized Hollywood movie about two unlikely lovers on the Titanic but yeah... sad for whatever family Rose had in the 80 years after and it's weird that her happy ever after/version of heaven is going back to a place where hundreds died just because a guy she knew for a few days was there

Yes. There was definitely room on that door for Jack to get on with rose so he may have survived. Pretty selfish of Rose I might say.

I did find Rose's behavior appalling in one way: They could have at least included a scene where she tries to make room on her table "raft" for Jack (and then tragically it would not work or something). It seems like she just let's him freeze to death. And typically in that kind of near freezing water, only kept unfrozen by its saltiness, a person without a heavy wetsuit or drysuit has only a few minutes to withstand it before s/he freezes to death, which was why so many died that night. The seas were actually calm, but the water was just too cold for most, let alone the lack of lifeboats.

Well if a guy literally sacrificed his life for her it's understandable she would never forget about him lol... it seemed like a decent romantic story and also a decent disaster movie.. I think it was cool for its time

Jack actually survived and swam to shore, now he dates models in their 20's.

It was a great ending. I listen to the soundtrack everyday. Jack had to die. This wasn't the Notebook.
