Ok. About 1500 people died in the Titanic disaster.

It was completely due to the shipbuilders not putting enough lifeboats on the ship because the lifeboats would've spoiled "the look" of the deck where they would be positioned and the shipbuilding company believing the Titanic was unsinkable, as if any ship could be deemed so. This is hubris.

The same hubris was true for the makers of the Titan sub.

It was an untested vehicle made of composite materials. Many commentators noted this. It was not double-metal-hulled, it was a combination of some rigid polymers.

The sub had been to those depths before, but this is what ultimately made it implode. It is most likely that the hull suffered fatigue, micro cracks and failed. The vehicle had not passed tests that similar deep-sea subs had because its developer thought this was unnecessary.

Everyone called it an "experimental" vehicle. And the experiment failed.

This has nothing to do with ghosts or haunting. It has to do with men not doing their best jobs to protect people because they think they know better than everyone else.

This doomed 1500 people in 1912 and 5 in 2023. Both were avoidable tragedies. Luckily new oceanic ship rules were instituted after the Titanic. But since the Titan was privately built and owned, I don't know how the second accident might've been avoided.

No. Because dozens of expeditions with conventionally build submarines visited the Titanic wreck without any major problems.
