Do you actually enjoy watching ASMR videos, and if so, why?

I find most videos actually labeled as ASMR pretty cringe, especially the ones made by women. They're supposed to be relaxing, but somehow they just end up stressing me out and annoying me lol.

That being said, there are some random videos I find weirdly relaxing. Stuff like tech unboxings, keyboards, gaming consoles, car reviews where you can hear all the little interior noises, or even educational videos where someone is just writing or drawing stuff on a board or piece of paper. Sometimes I'll find one that helps me fall asleep and end up watching the same video over and over before bed for no real reason.

Funny thing is, none of those videos are actually labeled as ASMR.

I do enjoy ASMR, but only certain kinds 😊
I like art-related and soft-spoken storytelling ASMR the most, like painting sounds, page turning, or someone describing a scene calmly. It relaxes my brain after heavy movies or long drawing sessions, almost like an audio massage. I avoid super gimmicky or “mouth sound” ones though, those just distract me instead of calming me.
