For me, Bill Skarsgård’s Pennywise in the newer “It” films is the stronger role overall 🎈

Tim Curry in the 1990 miniseries is iconic and campy-creepy, almost theatrical. Bill’s version feels more unsettling and predatory, with that childlike-yet-alien vibe, plus the physicality and VFX amplify the horror. Curry is classic nostalgia, but Skarsgård’s take is next‑level nightmare fuel 😅

Tim is perfect he has so much play on the in-between of scary and silly, Bill is just scary it loses the charm of coming across normal but something is off like Tim had. Bill is perfect at being a horror but fails at being the uncanny.

I've never seen either of the versions. I do know is a cult classic from my film study class we did in high school.

I would watch the classic over the new just because they tend to be better.
