Were you told spooky stories back when you were a little kid?

Back when i was a little kid in the 80's, there was no computers or internet and there was no cell phone, no nothing, just an old black and white small T. V and the only way of communication was a land line old phone, when the winter comes, older people starts talking in front of us about Djinn and ogres, they said that the ogre comes at night in winter in the dark to devour people, especially kids...

One night after hearing lots of similar stories, i went to my bedroom to sleep and suddenly at the middle of the night it started thundering loudly and started to rain heavily, suddenly the electricity went off and i was shaking, shouted to my mom cause it was very dark so she lights a candle, my eyes were fully opened and all these stories were rewinding in my head, any shadow on the wall made me so spooked out, couldn't sleep the whole night thinking that the ogre might enter my bedroom at anytime and devour me, especially that i'm a single child, i have no siblings, so i was alone in my bedroom, it was so scary 😱

Now kids, knows nothing about ogres, djinns and all these spooky night stories 😂😂
