Were you ever freaked out and scared of something when you were a child that you laugh about now?

In the late `60's/early `70's, there were rumours that Paul McCartney was dead and, for SOME reason, once I kinda got into all those clues, I got the screwy idea that he was waiting in my parents' bedroom to come after me and stab me repeatedly with a huge knife and the only thing that could save me was getting up to the landing on the stairs to my room on the third floor before he could get me.
So, I was perfectly fine when I got to the 2nd floor and wasn't worried at all but, if I was going up to my room, as soon as I turned the corner to climb my stairs, I'd run up so fast I was even running on all 4's!! As soon as I got to that landing and only had the last 4 steps to climb on my left, I was safe!! I only dd that for a few months, maybe a year.
My cousin when she was younger was scared shitless of Ozzy Osbourne , but then she became a die hard fan of him and would write him glean mail all the time when she was in her early teens , When she turned 20 years old , I surprised her with backstage passes to Ozzfest and when we saw Ozzy sitting down she she had tears of joy coming down her face. She ran up to him and told him how big of a fan she was and asked him if he ever received her fan mail and explained to him who she was , Ozzy literally got up off his chair and hugged her , I was so excited for her to finally meet her idol that once scared the shit out of her lol and the fact Ozzy got out of his chair was a shock because he didn’t get out of his chair for anyone else but my cousin lol
I always imagined that, if I didn't run up the stairs as fast as I could, he was gonna come out of my parents rom with that huge knife and try to kill me. By the time I got to the first step, I was already at least 5' ahead of him so, I had a head start.
No PTSD and I still buy his records.
Did he say he got her mail?
Yes lol when he got up off his chair to hug her He said Yes I did , Everyone else in the room was like that is Fucking Awesome !! After Ozzy hugged her , he gave her an Ozzfest poster and signed it for her , other bands were signing it as well , After Ozzy left the room , some of the band members of Incubus were all about her and flirting with her , and my cousin had no interest in them, she said her heart belongs to Ozzy , Everyone was cracking up , it was one of my favorite backstage experiences , we got to meet so many bands and she got her poster signed by a lot of them
Cool!! I've met a couple dozen, myself over the years!
When I was really little, maybe 3 years old, some kid teased me by pretending to put a bug down my pants. I ran home in a hysterical panic. My mom had to strip me down and inspect every inch of me and insure me that there were no bugs on me.
Some other time, at around the same age, I was playing in a dirt lot. I looked down and saw ants on my shoe. There was a hole in the top of the tip of my leather shoe and I thought ants were getting inside. I freaked out about that, too.
I don't know what my problem was. I wasn't bug phobic, but the idea of them getting inside my clothes freaked me out for some reason at that age. It's pretty funny when I think back on it. Kids are crazy.

My father told me that me and my brother were afraid of the CBS eye, We had a big console Black and White TV and when the CBS eye came on we would hide behind the couch and just peek out at it.

Count von Count of Sesame Street. The creepy voice, the maniacal laughter and the following flash and thunder... ugh.
Flash flood warnings... I didn't know what they were but it sounded bad, mainly because I'm terrified of water! Now I realize how dumb I was! For one thing, the nearest body of water was seven miles away!
