As a kid, what's something funny that you were afraid of?

I was afraid of dogs that weren't my own... and there was this Mario game with ghosts.. I was legit scared of the ghosts 👻. I was afraid of green eyes because there was a mean teacher at my school with them. What about you?

I can only think of one that's funny and that's the nail clippers. Every other fear seems 100% reasonable to me. Unlike a few others here, I was in love with (and still am) with aliens. My parents are surprised they haven't come visited my room at night yet.

When I was a child, I'd always bite my fingernails off, sometimes I'd even eat them. So, I never had to use the nail clippers when you think about it.

No, I just bit them from a really young age and did that. I eventually grew out of it. Now I just clip my nails whenever my OCD can't take it anymore. People tell me I over do my nails and I'm like "Well, the white part needs to be clipped off, otherwise I can't stand it."

When i was very young, i came unglued after watching my first horror movie. It’s only funny to me now because, after a fair bit of digging to try and remember what the movie was called, i watched it again as an adult. It’s good and i get why it was scary to me then, but it’s not scary at all by today’s standards.
For anyone who might be interested, it’s called “Burnt Offerings”. It IS really good, but you could probably watch it with young children now, without much ado.
