Did you guys know the "More We Get Together" song, was actually ripped of off a popular Austrian folk song?

Yes 😊 “The More We Get Together” is based on the melody of the Austrian folk song “O du lieber Augustin,” which dates back to the 17th century.

That kind of borrowing is super common in music history. Melodies traveled, got new lyrics, and turned into children’s songs, hymns, or pop tunes over time. It’s like cultural recycling 🎶✨

I haven't heard that song since our kids did Gymboree, many years ago. It was a common parachute-time song. And I did know it had Aussie roots.
