Is getting liked by your partner's parents rare?

My family likes my current (2nd) boyfriend and I've gone to his house too. His mother and sister are happy for us. No drama, hypocrisy nor any of those awkward conversations, none of that.

Finally real peace and all of us getting along. My parents (esp mom) hated my 1st boyfriend but like my 2nd. Is it rare for both respective families to like your partner?

My 1st was indeed a real terrible person. It took me years to find out I've chosen Mr Wrong. With my 2nd boyfriend, I saw a sincere happy expression in my mother's face, not a fake smile she would do with my 1st boyfriend.

I love my mil and hold her in high regard.

I was close to my exboyfriend's mom too. He used to get jealous.
