Who misses being a kid?

Yes and no. I definitely have moments I wish I could relive and the thought that it's over and will never be again saddens me. However, I love the fact that as an adult, you have so much more freedom and control over your own life. I think the responsibility that comes with it is a small price to pay.
I also don't miss school at all. 🤣 I was a very awkward kid who was very susceptible to bullying, and even had a few adults in my life (typically so-called "professionals" who worked with children for a living, mostly teachers 🤬) who engaged in it as well. Now that I have a say in whether or not I have to interact with those people and am not easily dominated by or scared of them (as there is no power imbalance anymore, which I'm sure they fed off of and is why they chose the career path they did despite appearing to hate children), life is so much better. I have no problem telling someone like that exactly what I think of them and to go to hell. 🤣
I do hate the fact that loved ones are getting older and as you age, you tend to experience more loss. I definitely worry more now than when I was younger, as I know anything can happen to anyone and nobody is immune to tragedy. I never thought about it as a kid.
I miss being 10 or younger. Lol basically Elementary school. It was so simple. Life was good. I am in middle school right now and I would go back in time in a heart beat! People don't kid, middle school SUCKS!
I was just thinking about how when I was a kid, bad things didn't seem as bad due to naivety, inexperience, etc. And I miss the feeling of thinking my parents know everything & have my best interests at heart. I think that level of trust is gone for good.

Yes I miss being a kid, here is me at age 6 months old
Baby you kinda looks like adult you
Thats an adorable photo
@HeartFullOfGlue Thank you :-)

Haha. Lol I don't. I think as a kid, yes I had no responsibility, was blissful... but responsibility isn't necessarily bad and also I feel like I was not as conscious as I now. Yes this can be bad and good. But still, I like being able to be intelligent and knowing how to protect myself (to a degree) and maybe I even know how to enjoy life more.
I was merely lucky to not have been harmed.. but very susceptible to harm. To explore the world is fun... but I couldn't always be in the loving arms of Mummy and daddy.
I'm still a kid. I may always be a kid. Nut now I'm a much better kid and I can different kinds of fun.
But now
i do. i just wish i could have appreciated it more. when i was young, all i thought about in my freetime is becoming a queen and growing up lol, and never enjoyed the moment.
But you are 13 so you are still labeled as a child in most people eyes you become a full fledged adult when you become 18 and up
@FinalFantasyBro so? i'm not a little kid, so there is a big difference. even 5 years ago, i was obv a completely different person with a completely different outlook and interests. so yeah, there is a lot for me to still miss.
I wasn't saying that you were a little kid but you are talking about missing childhood but you still have a lot of childhood left. But yes I definitely understand that as a thirteen year old you definitely wouldn't think similarly to a five year old.
@FinalFantasyBro my definition of childhood is when you're still young enough to view this world as a perfect place with no real troubles, so that's what i was mainly referring to in my opinion lol. so yeah, with my definition of childhood i definitely already outgrew it
Ok but yes I can imagine that some people don't feel childish anymore especially people around your age, a lot of people are now stress out
Sure! Take me back to the 90's. I had fun in the early '00's tho too
Sometimes, but I enjoy my own freedom and money more
i miss the times before covid kicked in. i never actually got to enjoy middle school cos of that and tomorrow is the first day of 9th grade.
No, not really. I miss certain small parts of it, like how often you find people at the same stage of life, to make friends with and such. But in general, nah.
I had the best childhood
I do. Life was so much better and less stressful...
Not really. I had a rough upbringing. I am a child at heart, anyway.
Being a child was awful no money, no freedom/ independent and adults just took the fun out of living so no I don't miss that dreadful period in life.
I do miss when I could eat snacks all day... without a single worry, lol
Nostalgia is a bitch, especially when you're an adult and your life sucks completely.
Everything was so much simpler back then. Worst I had to care about was my homework.
was easier back than, but it also made me who i am today
yeah i miss the 90’s cartoon that day
Not really. It was no picnic.
