He's stable for now, but we still don't know the extent of the damages - he moves his eyes and looks at us, but nothing else.
I'm doing my best to hold up and keep both my family together, and his wife and other child.

You got this.
I do the same if able; I help out their family or pets best I can
Thank you.
For now he seems to be better, he talked a bit and asked for water. He wanted to go home, but naturally they kept him there.
I'm so sorry, JM.
My mother died two months ago. I think I'm still in shock.
You can message me if you ever want to talk more. I don't know that I'd be any help, I'm in very rough shape myself, but know you are not alone.
Life is a bitch. Some things people do to one another; sometimes it's just life itself, with no blame to be found.
I hope you have more closure than I do.
Thank you for your kind words Amanda, I wholeheartedly appreciate them.
I'm sorry that your mother has passed away; I remember you had told me about her health problems in the past and also of other things, and I hope that now at least she's at peace and you are doing a bit better, even without maybe the full closure you wished for.
Here things are still a bit hectic, especially because last Sunday I had a daughter and this brought another avalanche in the family - an avalanche of joy, this time.
Thank you.
I keep thinking that has he lingered some more, he would have met her.
He already experienced being a grandfather with my sister' son, but I'm still a bit bummed about it.
Say the things that you've always meant to say.
Make sure they know you love them.
Listen to every word they have, every memory.
Turn to God and scripture. Listen to what this guy has to say about his experience:

It really depends on the severity, but fortunately in my family's case we had some scary calls, but it panned out. I remember getting a call in the middle of the night from my grandmother because my grandfather had a heart attack and had to get rushed in.
Namely my grandparents were the only ones in that situation, but I remember being anxious and scared seeing them.
What really hit me the most was seeing them in bed recovering. I never remember seeing them look so small, fragile and weak. That was very surreal and sobering realizing that one day they may be in that situation again and it may not Joan out like it did that time.
Seeing your update here man, I am so sorry. Losing a loved one and a parent at that is not easy. I hope wherever he may be now that he is at peace and no longer in pain.
This is distressing news indeed. I will keep you inmy thoughts.
🥺. I am so sorry for your loss, my friend. ☹️😰
Congratulations on the birth of your daughter, sir!
Thank you my friend!
You're welcome!
I hold fast.
