Assuming you can get one of your parents to agree to it, don't do it without adult supervision.

Get a couple monster noise makers and some red lights that work on remote. Put one in the closet in an area that can't be seen very well. Put a second one under the bed in the slats or behind a fair bit of toys under it. Helps to use a toy that you can put the red lights behind their face.

Next while they're asleep, roll a ball or something in to get them to wake up for a moment. Not the monster noise maker, then slowly dim the red light up.

You run in to save your sibling a couple times, you'll be their hero until they get smart enough to realize your a douche.
