None and didn't have any for about 6 years due to my own accord. I used to be a huge people pleaser and as such was not particular about who I allowed to be my friend to my own detriment. Needless to say it caused me a lot of grief, feelings of betrayal, and frustration so I swore to myself if I can get rid of all of these toxic people in my life. Then Ill focus on ridding myself of my own toxic traits which was people pleasing and having a lack of boundaries and focus on bettering myself so I can be financially stable and build up my career so I can prime my future self with all the tools it needs to be successful.
Welp, I was able to do all of that at the expense of not being able to cultivate deep friendships and I feel like im just about to reach my goal of finanial stabilty so the time to get back out there and spread my social butterfly wings is rearing its head.
Im not socially inept. Hell I make friends easily I just didn't want any for a long ass time till sort my own ish out.
I have a lot of friends but only two I would consider super close, close enough to help me dispose of the body of my rapist if he ever came around again.
There is others I consider friends but not that close, so maybe 20 or 25 in that area. We do talk/text/chat weekly or more often. To keep up on things and how things are going and occasionally get together.
People that are friendly to me, get along well with me, talk to me if we happen to be in the same spot at the same time? Dozens, if not hundreds, even thousands!! People that call, e-mail, visit or hang out with me regularly? NONE!! Oh, there's a handful or two that contact me every few weeks or so but, no one that EVER shows up here just to hang, talk, play cards, Trivial Pursuit, Backgammon, etc., or ever invites me to go to a movie, take a walk with them, a meal or to shoot pool for a while. The bunnies in the yard are the only ones that come to see me every day and that's just to get a free meal out of me.
Let's see here... I have one that moved away but we're still in touch (except he never sends any texts, just pictures). I got another that lives about 10 minutes away and he's always working. I got a really old friend that's away at college. That's about it.
None, I had some in high school but we just stopped talking some months after the end of our last years and after I had multiple small jobs everywhere so never was able to make friends also most of my coworker were much more older than me so nothing to talk about with them.
At the moment I have two girls online whom I would truly consider friends. And in real life, I only have one girl I met at work only a couple months ago, that I truly consider a friend.
One is my husband. One's my childhood friend I met in first grade and who was my maid of honor, and one is a friend I made in middle school who I've kept in touch with ever since.
I have 3 best friends with whom I can interact in real life. One best friend whom I knew from real life but now connected through snapchat. And many gag friends or online friends.
