How do you pick a good baby gift for an expecting friend?

in my opinion, it just depends on what they need or would want. Do they have the basics covered? You could buy them that or maybe in a conversation you guys had before, something else was brought up. Maybe they have a list of things they would want, you can ask.

If not, I would just ask. No harm in them knowing what they're getting in advance. They'll just be happy they're getting the things they need.
