Are any tall people soft-spoken, shy, introverted, or insecure?

Is it because you grew up always being taller than your peers that you didn't think there was much reason to feel shy or talk at a non-threatening quiet volume, and therefore felt more secure in being a doer at work, jumping right in with little hesitation, because no one around you could be physically as threatening as you? Or did other circumstances cause you to nevertheless talk quietly and nervously around everyone?

Yes I am about 6"3 and I have always been fairly Shy.

My Shyness doesn't really have anything to do with my height.

I think I'm Shy because my arents always told to be quiet when I was a kid especially when we where with other People so I'm still scared of approaching People I don't know to this day, I have gotten better but I still cannot approach Girls

Yeah my girlfriend is like that. Sure, tall people are less likely to be picked on for their height, but that doesn't mean they can't be insecure anyway or for other reasons. And being soft spoken or introverted I don't think has much to do with height.

Yes, tall people can be soft-spoken, shy, introverted or insecure. I've known plenty.

One good friend of mine is 6'5" and all of the above. He said kids at school used to call him Lurch and made him feel self-conscious. He kind of slumps so as not to appear tall.

I grew up on a street where most of the boys were 2 to 3 years older than me, so I was little compared to them. But that didn't stop me from competing.
I was average height among my peers in grammar school.
Around adolescence (13 years old or so), some other guys were getting bigger, stronger and hairier. I didn't hit my growth spurt until 15 or so. But again, that didn't stop me from doing anything.
In 10th grade, I hit my natural height of 6'2".

I mentioned this in order to explain that, regardless of being shorter at times in my life, I was always extroverted. I jumped right in without hesitation. I basically didn't think about my height or anyone else's.

and yes... I have seen then all of my life, I still that everywhere these traits of personality, character and attitudes are not so intricately related to one's height, there's at least another dozen of factors involved on whether you are this way or another, it cannot all be reduced to how far your knees are from the ground

I'm tall.

I've never considered the possibility of one's stature as a cause of tendency towards the traits you mention.

I used to be extremely shy, introverted and insecure but learned how to change those traits to greater or lesser degrees through practice and the will to change. Introversion is an attribute that I've altered a bit, but still consider myself to be mainly introverted.

I may have been soft-spoken in some instances as a small child, but the elimination of shyness helped with that as well.

I knew one tall guy in my class who barely talked in school and people just kind of ignored him.

He was this tall blonde guy on my basketball team who just didn't have much to say I guess?
He still got girls eventually at parties and stuff just from his looks, but in school he just kept to himself. I was the class clown so I showed up to class when I felt like it and they couldn't shut me up.

I have always been tall, and I have also always been an introvert. I was painfully shy in school, and though I am not so shy anymore, I remain naturally an introvert today.

There were several reasons

1. Nobody ever listened to me, anyway! At least not until it was too late.
2. I grew so fast, my clothes would be too small for me until mom could afford to buy me more that fit.
3. Dad yelled at me CONSTANTLY when I was a kid!
4. A number of kids at school were either always making fun of me for ANY reason or they'd make up excuses to try to beat me up.
5. Nobody ever wanted to talk to me or hang out with me. That still continues to this day!

I am 5'10 and pretty extroverted, but I have known friends who are way taller than I am and are soft-spoken, shy, introverted or insecure. So yes, it is possible.

Inverts usely don't do well with people who are not like them an maye if they could meet nice people they could open up an be more out going but I see part of the fear of being used
