As nudist, do you go get dress when poeple comes over?

It really depends on who is coming over. If they're nudist as well (there's a few families we socialize with) then we'll stay nude, if they're friends of ours that are cool with nudity but aren't nudists we'll be dressed when they arrive and maybe undress to go in the sauna, and sometimes remain undressed afterwards. For anyone else, we'll be dressed unless they show up unannounced. Almost all of our friends know about our typical lack of clothing at home though, so they're forewarned about what they might encounter!

When your teenager kids have friends over.. is it the same for you.. I usually ask the kid and his parents.. but it never happen till recently that one of my kids friends said ok. And her parents were surprised but not totally close to it.. its only odd to deal with them reactions or what can we say or talk about the situation with them..

My kid is 5, so not a teen yet. The only friends he's had over while nude are kids of other nudist couples or extended family.

I was raised a nudist, and when I had non-nudist friends over as a kid everyone in the family would dress or stick to their rooms out of courtesy.

Only time my non nudist friends might go nude was in the hot tub when we were tees, occasionally staying nude for a bit afterwards. When I was much younger a few friends did go in the hot tub nude as well with permission from their parents, but that wasn't that common.

Pretty much the same for me.. but i feel there is a huge gap between guys and girls.. with my son (2yrs older) it seems less scary.. probably because we dont ear often story about kid abused by women.. and anyway.. the only feeling we had was they were looking just too happy to be able to see boobs.. but now i can't take the idea of what can maybe happen out of mind.. if they play outside and her friend come in for water.. if im alone... isshh i stress out right away. Her friends isn't naked only half sometime, but we are (she is fine about it, her parents too).. it's maybe only in my head..

Nah. If they aren't comfortable with the human body, that's on them. If I'm to respect their clothing rules when I'm in their house then they need to respect my way of life in mine. It took time for me to become comfortable with social nudity. And now that I've gotten over the hang ups that were instilled in me by society, I see just how silly it is.

Do you have kids? Cuz.. before when i didn't have any, all my friend knew about it.. so nobody had any problems but now, i have to deal with kids and some answer not too clear

I do. It's was frustrating dealing with people claiming It's not appropriate. There have be hateful and uncivil arguments made as well as false police calls. But that's behind me now. The fact is there's nothing illegal or wrong happening and my children are perfectly healthy. Case is closed and I'm left alone now for the most part.

Same for me... it's just a little trickier when its a friend of your kids.. well daughter.. with my son, there was not issues really. Now, the feeling is totally different..

I'm not a nudist, but I am someone who researches natural history.
Humans were nude most of the time for most of our history. Clothing was originally used as protection from extreme tempuratures, and as armor, and as a barrier against unsafe things to touch.

It was only converted to a medium of censorship in recent history, after certain religious groups sprung up, specifically the monotheistic ones, who viewed nudity as profane/obscene and shamed or punished people for it.

Then you have the fact that humans are the only species to use clothing. The rest of the animal kingdom is naked 24/7. Well, unless you count very few species who wear shells or debre as armor or camoflauge, but thats not the same thing.

Nudity is the norm, its clothing thats unique, and humans have made all sorts of interesting kinds of clothing for all sorts of purposes, but to suggest that nudity is weird is just blind.

Lol.. its nothing to do with ancestors or whatever.. yes it was theirs lifestyle than.. but I'll say clothes only twist our self-esteem.. nudist made me be in peace about myself!! Event if I'm fit, i had my insecurities.. same than everyone but some go over it easier than others.. and the first time at the nudist camp.. i just felt good. I automatically felt the weight of "do i look good.. is it good enought" that feeling of always comparing and judge myself to other was gone after 2sec.

Societies have changed, u can't compare what old age did with us now. I dare u go walk naked in other places and see the reaction or worse ur daughters and wives can get raped, nowdays even boys get raped. Yes i agree with u clothes protect us and in more than the things u mentioned.

It is very weird a young kid seeing his dad penis hanging around or their mom vagina walking around like seriously? Ur little girl ask dad what is that hanging between ur legs? Whay u say? Hopefully she won't be curious to go play with another hanging one outside

Before people married at really young age compare to now. Nowdays if a 18 girl marry everyone will be like someone save that kid. U hv to except we evolved n somethings have changed so don't use the past to do what u want with the present.

There r so many reasons why being nudist is bad, i truly hope people can wake up on this. If u like being nude.

I wasn't implying people did it because they receieved a history lesson, I was implying that clothing in late human history is the exception to the otherwise normal rule that organisms in general are typically always naked. So objectively speaking, clothing itself is "weird", not nudism. So Lady_Heart's statement was incorrect.
