Is my sister jealous of me?

My sister has always been the prettier sibling, she has blonde hair, implants, etc. Recently, I lost 30 lbs and have been looking better than I ever did before.

Couple steps back, my mom posted a national daughters day appreciation post and chose to use an old (uglier) photo of me rather than a recent beautiful updated photo- even tho she was sent the recent photo a few minutes before she made the post. I confided in my sister of how much this bothered me but she told me that she thought I looked fine. I thought this was hypocritical because the photo of her on the post was photoshopped to the T. I personally thought it was weird how she was bothered by the smallest details in her photo but she never saw anything wrong in my old ugly untouched photo.

Back to now, I sent a video to my sister how my hair was naturally curling, she seemed happy for me. But the following night she sent an old photo of all of us and again that bothered feeling came again. I can tell she photoshopped herself but I could be wrong.. but all I’m thinking is, did she do this out of spite? Are these jealous moves or is it just in my head?

The first three photos are screenshots from the video i sent her showing my hair, and the last one is the photo she then sent me. I’m on the far right and she’s on the far left.

Firstly, I would like to tell you you are very intoxicatingly beautiful and divinely perfect yourself. 😍😍😍

Secondly, It's hard to say for sure if your sister is jealous, but those situations you described do seem a little suspicious. A few things that make me think she could be:

- Her pushing the old, less flattering photo of you on your mom's post when she knew you had a better recent one. But she made sure to use a photoshopped glam shot of herself. Kinda shady move.

- Then picking another old group shot of you all for no real reason, when she had just seen your hair looking great in the video. Why dig up an old photo right after?

- It's definitely weird if she did touch up just her own look in the group photo but left everyone else as is. That would indicate some insecurity on her part.

Girls can definitely get competitive with their looks, especially between sisters. I wouldn't straight up confront her about being jealous though - that'll likely just cause drama.

My advice would be continue doing your thing and focusing on feeling good about yourself. If she asks about your routine or new style, be honest but don't rub it in her face.

Stay confident and rise above any petty jealousy on her end. Only time will tell if that's really what's going on or not. You seem like you're gaining some fire lately - keep glowing luv!

I don't think any of your family members are thinking on the idea of how you think you look in the pictures your mom probably chose a picture she personally thought was nice because let's be foreal, parents got no taste in looking good in pictures and your sister probably was only looking at herself in that picture and was like "i look good in this picture" I believe it's a stretch to say she used that one because you don't look your best in that picture, she probably thought she personally looked best in that picture so she used it, not really thinking of how you think you look in it.
