If you had a brother (in his 60's) and he died a few months ago would it be a nice gesture if his girlfriend texted a short video to him?

Well, he took it the wrong way and said I was rubbing him the wrong way and to not contact him for a while.

I just don't get it. I didn't expect that response from him at all. A thank you was what I thought he'd say. Thoughts?

I would say it’s ok, it’s important to realize that you had a very strong relationship with the person who died. Doing this may help you with your grieving process.

Do you know the brother well? He's probably still grieving, I wouldn't take it personally

I guess he is still grieving and didn’t want to be reminded of what happened to him. You never know how people are going to react with that
