Do you take your daughter to get her nails done on a regular bases?

My daughter got a bit upset when I said that she has to earn her living first and treat herself if she has extra income.

but I see three moms here with their teen daughters getting their nails done.

I think it is a great job to teach your kids responsibility and money management. So many kids complain they have no money but then I see them getting new tattoos, buying fast food, drinking etc. teach your kid’s priorities. I think you’re doing a great job.

Maybe there’s another way to go about it, like letting her earn the nail money similar to allowance or suggesting a summer job. However I don’t think anything is wrong with regular mother daughter mani pedis. I know it’s important to teach her the value of a dollar and not to be spoiled, but these are the gestures she will appreciate and should be able to enjoy at her age when it isn’t in excess.
