How many of you are “channel surfers” or live with someone who is? Do you like to be the one that controls the remote?

My boyfriend was sick over the weekend, because of this, we spent a lot of time watching TV. I never realized it in the past, but he LOVES to channel surf. It drove me nuts! Put it on a show and leave it there! Also, who usually controls the remote in your relationship?

I got rid of all my tv’s in 2016. I was tired of hearing all the bs political nonsense from lying news stations. But the straw that broke the camels back was my so called team the Denver Bronco’s decided they weren’t going to stand for the national anthem. I stood up aimed the remote at the very large screen Vizio and turned it off for the last time. Took everything broncos to the outside fire pit and lit it up. Do yourself a favor and turn that trash off. It’s brainwashing you. Why do you think they call it programs. Programming your brain. I don’t miss any of it and get a hell of a lot more done not sitting in front of the boob tube wasting my life.

I don't watch that much TV anymore, but even when I did... I wouldn't surf that much, I would watch what I liked and would stay there

I was a channel switcher though... because, any time they went to commercial breaks I would then switch to another channel that would keep me entertained meanwhile, then I would go back to the main channel I was actually watching, lol

My mom is like that! When I was young, her, my dad and I would watch America Idol together. It lasted three weeks! She would change the channel during every commercial and not want to change it back right away, because she would get into another show! When she finally changed it back, it was time for another commercial break. Finally, I got up and watched it in my room! It really pissed my dad off! Lol

None of us is a channel surfer. We don't really watch TV on out TV. Most of them time we're watching some YT podcast. Sometimes my husband plays video games or watches football.

My mother is the worst! Not so much channel surfing but constantly rewinding if we’re watching a movie! “I gotta rewind, I didn’t hear what they said”, “I gotta rewind, I think I saw my cousin, Carol in the bar seen”, “I gotta rewind, I want to see that cute dog again! I think it’s the same breed our neighbors had when I was a kid”. It is fucking sickening! She can turn a 90 minute movie into 6hrs of pure hell! It’s funny, one time we took the batteries out of the remote. We’re badass!

Restrict me to a hotel room or something with cable television... you have to surf... commercials are boring. The content on those shows are boring as well.

The last one I watched was "white supremacists" killed a homo sexual. 2 Mexicans and a black guy... white supremes. Oh, and they pinned them with that charge because the black guy had a Prussian eagle tattoo. Cable is retarded. I'm from the 80's and these retards have no idea what a white supreme even is. Makes me want to send them to prison so they can learn.
