My boyfriend used to always buy me yellow roses because yellow is my favorite color.

I told him to please not buy me red or white roses because they remind me of funerals.

Even though he bought me yellow he gave them to me because he loved me.

A yellow rose represents friendship. Just be careful and check to make sure it's not the yellow roses with red on them, as that symbolizes falling in love. Other flowers that do if you need an alternative: White daisies, sunflowers, tulips, and chrysanthemums.

I don't know if there's any meaning for other colors but I would never give red or pink roses to my friends I would opt for white, yellow, orange, lavender.
