Does anyone else get nervous around kids?

I feel like if I make the slightest wrong move I'll scare them or accidentally hurt them. It just feels like a lot of pressure being around something so vulnerable even you aren't their caregiver.

Only if they have litigious parents hovering about. You know, you look at the kid the wrong way and the parents want to take you to court over it.
Mom had a friend that was a math teacher in a grade school. One day, he gave his class a math quiz and, as teachers are won't to do, he started roaming around the room and checking on how the kids were doing. At one point, he stopped next to a little girl, saw that she was doing quite well and told her she was doing a great job, patted her on the shoulder and continued going around the room. The next day, that girl's parents had him up on child molestation charges for patting her on the shoulder!!

It'll pass. When I became a dad I wondered lot what we would talk about since we're so different. It takes care of itself

Just smile at them. Kids can see through BS so just be real with them. You'll be fine.

I’m a nudist
So around children I am very careful
I would hate to traumatize someone in their early years and cause issues later.
My strategy is to ignore no matter how that affects young kids.
