Bank Account Boudaries?

31 and dealing with controlling parents. Got screamed at over text for paying off student loans and not consulting my Mom, then got an “I love you, and you are my world” an hour later. My brother and I have some extra assets, and we value opinions with those, but I hate that Mom has access to personal account. I’m tired of it. Boyfriend almost ready to propose but not quite there, this would offer protection and allow me to have private personal account with him. Mom can then still see the second account. Didn’t mention the banning but found myself getting snippy with my parents over the phone last night. Any other advice? This is draining thank you.

You are a 31 year old man mate , she should NOT even know how you spend you money , you need to be cruel to be kind , confront your mother with VIGOR , and explain to her how things are going to be.. not negotiable mum , keep your opinions to yourself , and mind your own business..

If she kicks back.. then REALLY go hard.

She shouldn't have any view into your bank accounts unless you are seen as unfit to manage them yourself
