How can we foster a love for learning in children from an early age?

Kids naturally love learning. That’s what they’re wired to do. They’re naturally curious and learn by watching adults and asking 10000 questions per day. Then they process it through play. It’s school and adults who kill their curiosity and love for learning by not answering their questions properly or looking up the answer if they don’t know. Picking up on their interests and maybe talking more about it. Instead the kids are forced to learn by sitting still for x amount of hours daily (not natural for children, especially not for boys) and be forcefed information they don’t want to learn or that doesn’t feel relevant for them. They have to memorize every detail about it though and they have to do it by a deadline or they won’t pass the test or grade. The class is also moving on to new information to be learnt after the deadline. Then they get grades or test results and if they didn’t do great they get a negative view of themselves feeling they aren’t enough or that they aren’t smart. If they did good the pressure is on to do just as good the next time. Focus is not on lighthearted learning based on what the child is interested in and doing it in a way that actually match how kids learn, it’s about every kid learning the same thing at the same time in the same place no matter what they’re interested in and then being tested and graded on it thw same way at the same time. It’s about killing their natural playfulness to learn how to sit still, shut up, learn/do what they’re told so they’ll make good and obedient workers and citizens in the future.

Children love learning so much already. Its literally the thing they do the most. ... besides sleeping which also helps them learn.
