How should I surprise my friend for her birthday?

She’s turning fifty and she wants a big party. She wants me to be there. Her home is too far for me to travel to on her birthday. So I was thinking of treating her to lunch somewhere.

Giving her a beautiful candle and some scented soaps, which we’d share the costs for. Should I add anything else, or is this enough. I’d like to have her lunch catered for, with all our friends around us, but she’s vegan. The rest of us are not and I can’t afford catering. What’s something special that I can do for her?
