I just got lot of hate at pointing this out. I watched a movie where a woman got 3 strangers, all men, and took them to her room, gave them drugs and alcohol, and she passed out, those men then raped her.

I said no wonder she got raped because I think her actions clearly contributed to it. I got lot of hate because they think I said she deserved it but I didn't mean that.

If I may elucidate further, we have to understand what rape actually is. For instance the podium she set for and all that drunkard drugging etc was intentional definitely she wanted that now was she expecting it to be vanilla or consensual non consent way that is a different question.
Ostensibly the way she carried herself and instigated the deed she knew it from the get go what’s ought to happen, from three men she brought in for foursome definitely not to play twister or some heart to heart session of spiritual healing and then exacerbate things even further by drugging them. Now cry wolf and call it a rape it is just playing the victim mentality.

Was it violent perhaps subjective was it a rape not at all. It’s like cutting your self with a knife and asking people to perceive it as an assault. Like why the hell would you do that at first place only if you wanna call yourself victim afterwards that’s your doing own it just don’t mix it up with actual rape and abuse scenarios where people are sheer innocent and gets hurt and gain sympathy and polling by manipulating other people’s empathies towards actual rape victims and what they go through.

You should be careful how you talk about sensitive topics like that, but I think I understand where you're coming from.

Unfortunately, even though you weren't saying she "deserved" it, you were still "normalizing" it by talking like she should have expected it, and like it was bound to happen in that scenario. That kind of talk (unintentionally, I assume) adds to a culture that just accepts rape as common and normal, rather than something that is unthinkable and an extreme deviation from normal behavior.

That's not to say people shouldn't be cautious, but that people shouldn't need to be cautious in this way. A reaction that is an unsurprised "of course that happened" puts far less weight on the attackers and almost makes it seem like they did nothing really wrong, just "what anyone else would have done." That cannot be true.

When you purposefully put yourself into situations that can have bad consequences then you kind of deserve the consequences you put yourself into.

Don't start fights with much bigger people and don't do a bunch of drugs and pass out with strangers, it's not complicated

"Deserve" and "contributed to" are two different things.

"Deserve" is a moral judgement.

"Contributed" to is a statement about physical actions and mental decisions.

Did she contribute to her risk by her actions. Yup. Did she deserve what they did to her? That's a subjective morality for each of us. I would say no. I doubt she was planning to incite her own rape. But she exercised very poor judgement. Why? Ask the screenwriters.

If you invite friends over for a party and give them drinks then they proceed to trash your house and rape your dog, did you deserve that? Or did you expect those people to behave within the normal moral constraints... after you gave them drugs and alcohol?

A girl does not generally deserve to be raped, but if she's stupid with her actions and puts herself in scenarios where it's much more likely to happen, then the fault lies with her. Obviously not all the fault, but just because it shouldn't happen doesn't mean it won't. People need to learn to be smart with their choices in life.

I get what you are saying, you are saying that it all could've been avoided if she made better decisions which is just realistic, she clearly didn't ask for what happened nor does she deserve it but it doesn't change the fact that if she would've made the decision not to do that, she would've saved herself from that situation, it's a cold but necessary point of view that some should consider in different situations, not just with rape but in general.
