At what age would you want to have your first child?

I'm not asking at what age would it be normal, possible, or healthy to have a child, but rather, at what age would you personally want your first child, if it could magically happen exactly then, not earlier, not later.

If you want to be extra specific, in what month would you like him/her to be born and why?

I am a female from India, and naturally my answer is in connection with our social, cultural and traditional believes. In India, the age for a girl to get married is about 22, but many are choosing to get married in early thirties. They prioritize education and financial stability before giving birth to their first child. It is influenced by a wide range of factors, including the urban/rural divide and social or cultural status of particular cast. I get married at 23. My husband and his family were enough stable economically and not conservative for many social and traditional matters. We both had decided to have our first child around my age of 25, and second before 30, so that we can take good care of newborn comfortably. One main reason for this was a general perception - Fertility starts to decline significantly after age of 30, with the risk of complications increasing, and late twenties to early thirties is considered a good balance between biological and social readiness for most families in our culture. This also has helped us to create a strong emotional bond between elder one and younger one.

some men don’t deserve to have children since they don’t actually take the time to CARE for them and talk about cheating on the mother all cause they can’t have sex during the pregnancy.
I won’t give birth just cause the man wants a child like he wants a puppy, I won’t allow my body to go through the pain and let it rip me open when I give birth.

Now I do like kids (not really), I just won’t be having my own ever. Especially with how guys want to control a women’s body and how the government is removing options for women and won’t even study the women’s body. I don’t care how much I love and care for a man, nothing and I mean NOTHING will ever make me have a child. The man doesn’t go through giving birth, all he has to do is stick his dick in and thrust for about 8 minutes and his work is done.

I had my first when I was 30. This was spot on what my wife and I wanted as we were fortunate not to have fertility issues. It was ideal. You both get long enough to establish yourself on a career path, and have abundant energy to care for, coach, play with and love them through their entire adolescence. And our marriage relationship had been built strong and mutually supportive stage.

Much earlier and you may find it financially more punitive; much later and you will be old physically and further removed from your children generationally.

I'm sure a lot of ages work well and the best choice depends on your relationship and financial security, how many children you plan, other priorities in life like travelling the world etc.

When I was younger, I thought I'd have my life figured out at 27... being married with kids and place of my own. Man... if my kid self saw me now, he'd cry.

I HOPE to be married and have kids in about 5 years tops. I dunno if it'll happen or if it's meant for me, but that's what I hope.

I don’t really have a fixed age in mind.

I just want my first child when my life, my relationship, and my mental space feel stable enough to give that child a good start.

For me, it’s more about readiness than a number.

It would be cool. to have a kid born in September so that birthday parties are cheap. Less attendance during all those Jewish holidays.
