Have you ever told a lie to enable yourself to do something you shouldn't be doing?

Ever? Possibly. But not in recent memory. I don't lie for those reasons, I only lie out of self defense. The last time I seriously had to bend things was when my future was at stake health wise. I had to fend off a corrupt company doctor. So even though I didn't think the person treating me was good, I had already switched treatments before and one more time would have been extremely bad. So I had to lie to the person coaching me that I was following the terrible advice, I had to lie to myself that it was helpful so that I could spin it believably, and I had to lie to the company that we were in good standing because if not they could have ruined my life.

Took me over a year to unscramble my mind from that. Never had to do it that bad before, and so far I haven't had to do it since. I rather just be honest, much more who I am and much easier.
